The Elma Apartments is an absolutely fantastic holiday to go on for all the family. Travelling in our group we had a 16 year old boy, 14 year old girl (me), and two adult partners. The whole family thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
The staff are VERY helpful, especially Cristina (the receptionist). The rooms are very spacious, and have two bedrooms which are both en-suite. The pool is a good size and is never to busy.
The rooms do get very hot BUT every room has 2/3 fans in. You also have the breeze in some rooms coming from the sea. It's about 2/3 minutes walk from the beach, just down a hill. Everything is very close. As it is in the middle of two towns (Old town and new town), you get a nice choice of what to do in the evening.
I'd definitely like to re-visit it next year & we only came back yesterday!

On arrival, the hotel looked clean & was good. We were, as mentioned in a previous review, impressed with the en-suite bedrooms. It helped when trying to get ready to go out at night!
The Elma is situated in the middle of both towns which is excellent! Both have plenty of restuarants and are only a matter of minutes walk away.
Pool isn't huge, but it isn't small either. It's a good size & was clean. Sunbeds weren't hard to get hold of, were usually quite empty and there's grass to put towels on if you find it's very busy.
Staff were very friendly, especially Christina.
Food is available from the Pool side bar, including cooked food & snacks, for those who want to stay by the hotel.
I'd definantely recommend this holiday & I would LOVE to go back some time soon.

It’s not a siesta at the Elma...it’s a Fiesta.
We Fiesta-d here in September 2005. Apartments basic but very conducive to bedding down and partying.
Christina was a legend as she assisted in saving two of us from temporary arrestment over a four Euro taxi fare skip. Pool rules were very strict and we were under surveillance most days by Gadafi for moving sunloungers and consumption of illegal food and drink; night swimming was also deemed illegal. The pool bar was available for snacks although there was no full English (Irish) available but we would recommend “O Forte” up the road. We would not recommend freestyling on your balcony after 11pm as this may lead to arrest also. You must get down to “Panacee” (where the welcome meeting is held); Jorge is an absolute legend and the original freestyler…..ladies watch out!! Saloon door swinging is optional although one member of staff may lead you to believe otherwise. Best meal of our holiday was at “Dom Carlos” (Old town, 5 courses for 20 Euro, MUST book); you may see photos of us on the wall beside Tony Blair. Over-consumption of wine may be frowned upon so reign it in whilst here.
As for nightlife, the Elma is very handy….”rock on” to the strip after 11pm with your pick and mix and hottie whistles to break the ice at “La Bamba” and “Café del Mar” – we are sure you can park your car in the latter. The highlight of our holiday was the group of hot young Irish boys we met in La Bamba - particularly good at fiesta-ing and strawpedoing but frequently double-parked. It has to be said they never skipped rounds and always made sure we made it home to OK to the Elma even via the dirt track. ASBO’s were handed out on a regular basis although the boys were major offenders and had to be reigned in for helicopter competitions and paddling; only their mighty moves in La Bamba saved their reputations. Toby Senior (head of the 19-strong stag party) was also legendary for his antics down the strip….loving the fancy dress! Michael Owen and his Scouser sidekick also rocked on here with their spritzers.
Already planning Fiesta 2006 for a fortnight at the Elma – all welcome!!! Thanks to everyone for making our holiday great...Fiesta Forever and Keep it Real...

The Elma apartments are very clean, with a good sized swimming pool, which didn't get crowded while we were there in the last week in August. Christina at reception is excellent and will do her best to help you enjoy your holiday as much as possible. The Elma apartments are only short walk from a mini-market and the beach. I must reccomend the Panaccee restaurant which is joined on to the apartments. The staff are great with the children especially Jorge. We are thinking of booking there for next year already!

We stayed in the Elma apartments in June of this year.
The apartments were very clean and the staff were very helpful and told us the best places to eat out.
The local bars and restaurants were very good value. We would recommend Laura's Karaoke Bar just around the corner from the apartments which is very children friendly and they do a wonderful full English breakfast.
We would highly recommend these apartments for family's, in fact we have already booked again for 2006.
